Each fall, CERIC recruits volunteers to assist with the Cannexus conference. Those with proficiency in both French and English are encouraged to apply.
We require the commitment of energetic, enthusiastic volunteers to work with our team from Saturday to Wednesday (you do not need to be available every day).
Volunteering with CERIC for Cannexus is an excellent opportunity for you to expand your knowledge of national career counselling/development and to foster your event co-ordination, planning and organizational skills. Other benefits of volunteering include enhancing your resume and exposure to hundreds of career counselling/development professionals.
You are encouraged to spend time viewing all the information on the Cannexus.ca website as it will help you to be better informed and thus be able to best support delegates. Please note that there will be no funds available to assist volunteers with travel, accommodations or any out-of-pocket expenses.
Volunteers will be required to work 5 and 6-hour morning or afternoon shifts, beginning Sunday, January 21 to Wednesday, January 24.
The Volunteer Schedule each day:
Morning: 7:00 am – 2:00 pm
Afternoon: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
We are seeking volunteers for the following roles:
1. Volunteer Orientation and Delegate Bag Stuffing (Saturday, January 20 – Orientation is mandatory)
2. Registration Desk
3. Exhibitor Information
4. Pre-Conference Workshops
5. Concurrent Education Sessions
