NEW! Workshop on Indigenous Culture Competence
In the post-Truth and Reconciliation Commission era, many organizations are considering how to implement the TRC Calls to Action, including building cultural competence for Indigenous inclusion. In this newly added full-day workshop, Rose LeMay will provide an overview of Indigenous Canada, its history and resilience, and how to put cultural competence into practice.
As the organizer of Cannexus, CERIC is offering this workshop as part of its commitment to reconciliation, and follows its recent signature of the Philanthropic Community’s Declaration of Action.

Sept. 30 is the McTavish Bursary deadline
Each year, a select number of community-based counsellors across Canada are assisted in attending Cannexus. This is made possible through bursaries from The Counselling Foundation of Canada, in honour of former Executive Director Elizabeth McTavish. Application deadline is September 30.
“Hearing what others are dealing with, how they meet the everyday challenges we have in this field, made me realize, “Gosh I’m not the only one going through this!”
